Nebraskans are dealing with a flooding disaster that covers a great portion of the state and surrounding areas. There’s been an estimated loss of property and livestock that exceeds 1.6 trillion dollars. The flooding is expected to continue for the next several weeks while snow melts in the northern plains, levees continue to let go and more dams and roadways have been comprimised. Nebraska needs help. In some cases the need is immediate in order to save lives and livestock. Many plans have been put on hold, many resources have already been exhausted and all the people of Nebraska will feel the affects of this for a long time to come. The Wahoo Country Music Show is an important part of the economy in Wahoo, Saunders County, Nebraska as well as Fremont, Dodge County, Nebraska and other surrounding communities that have been affected by flooding. The Wahoo Country Music Show relies on sponsorship and donations from area businesses for advertising and promoting the event. Because of the devastating flooding, many of those businesses will not be able to contribute and in fact are in need of help to keep their businesses open. A vital part of recovery from a disaster of this magnitude will be to return to normal as quickly as possible. This area of Nebraska needs our support. For 21 years, the Wahoo Country Music Show has been a successful event for the community and has had a great economic impact on area businesses. To do our part to help with the flood relief efforts, we feel it’s as important as ever to have the 22nd Annual Wahoo Country Music Show at the Saunders County Fairgrounds and the newly remodeled Starlite Event Center. We’d like to invite you to come to Nebraska to see what makes us “Nebraska Strong”. If you’re not able to attend the Wahoo Country Music Show, we’d appreciate any donations or sponsorships to help us with our rising costs so that we can support the economy in the area and revitalize Wahoo and Fremont after the 2019 flooding. Thanks for your support and we’ll look forward to seeing you at the 22nd Annual Wahoo Country Music Show, June 20 - 23, 2019. Sincerely, Roger & Sharon Kenaston, Directors
